Traffic crawled on Bandra’s SV Road on Friday, March 27, after authorities barricaded about 500 metres of road near Lucky Restaurant. The stretch, covered with metal plates, collapsed on Thursday. The plates had been installed while the BMC’s hydraulic department replaced old water lines beneath the road. Traffic police barricaded the section over safety concerns, forcing vehicles to pass slowly along the sides. Authorities planned to work beneath the metal sheets and repair the road on Saturday and Sunday.
