Many five star hotels are in the locality like JW Marriot, Sun n Sand etc. Many famous celebrities stay in these areas like Rishi Kapoor, Asha Parekh, Amitabh bachchan, etc. There are many designer showrooms and shops in Juhu for all the shopaholics. Juhu garden is a very famous garden located in the vicinity. Highly reputed N.M. College is located nearby. The crowd is very hip, young and trendy. A very peaceful area to stay in.

A special court dealing with securities-related offences has put a sea-facing apartment in Juhu’s Janki Kutir compound up for auction. The 1,150-square-foot super built-up flat is on the second floor of Vandana Cooperative Housing Society, which houses Prithvi Theatre. On October 10, the court permitted its sale on an “as is, where is” basis. A public notice invited offers on November 10. Unencumbered flats in the building reportedly sell for ₹45,000–₹50,000 per square foot, indicating a potential valuation above ₹5 crore.

The property belonged to Sushila Shah, a partner in Romil Exports and a judgment debtor of Orion Travels, where Harshad Mehta and his brother Ashwin were partners. Auctions in 2021, 2023 and February 2025 drew no bidders.

Other Mehta-linked assets sold include eight apartments at Madhuli, Worli Sea Face, totalling about 12,600 square feet; stockbroker Ashok Samani bought them for ₹32.6 crore in February 2009. Mehta was charged in 27 criminal cases, convicted in four, and died in 2001. The 1992 securities scam was valued at ₹700 crore.
