The structure was part of ongoing metro work towards Wadala on the Sion-Trombay Road. Initial 4.5-metre section completed; additional 8-metre steel reinforcement being installed. Due to traffic restrictions, reinforcement secured with ropes tied to concrete block instead of crane. Turnbuckle fastener attached to concrete block broke after being struck by unknown object, causing ropes to loosen and structure to topple. Metal sheet of cabin damaged; no injuries. MMRDA visiting director of works Anil Salunkhe assessed site. Investigation expected within two days. Construction by Milan Road Build Tech, subcontractor under Reliance Infrastructure.
