Deoli is good place for the average middle class person, you have the local market and almost everything is available there at affordable rates what you find in expensive malls. If one is getting bored there then you have the Select City Walk which is the hub for the today's generation, cultural activities happens at regular intervals. Plenty of eating joints which will keep your taste buds alive. Auto's shared or single are easily available and Buses are just 2 km away from this residential location. Metro is 5 KM away, once you got the hang of the place it would be easy to choose your favourite mode of transportation. Post 9 PM i would recommend the lone traveler to use the Vayusenabad / Tigri Bus stand to take shared or single auto - as that road is ALIVE like xmas celebration all 365 days. For people traveling in cars, Neb Sarai entrance from Sanik farms is traffic free zone around that time (avoid traveling in the peak hours). This Residential area is well supported by the radio cabs like Meeru and others, LPG GAS companies, Delivery of your Online orders, Credit cards companies (except American Express), MTNL, BSES etc. Local plumbers, electricians, furniture wala's, painters etc. are also available there many of them are listed on Just Dial. Labour / Maid's are also available at a affordable budgets unlike many areas of Delhi.

Delhi Jal Board launched a ₹31.31 crore sewer infrastructure project in Deoli and Ambedkar Nagar to benefit 300,000 residents across 11 unauthorised colonies.
Key facts
Delhi Jal Board (DJB) launched a ₹31.31 crore sewer development project on 17 January 2026 covering unauthorised colonies in Deoli and Ambedkar Nagar under the Okhla drainage zone. Water Minister Parvesh Verma laid the foundation stone. The project aims to reduce untreated sewage discharge into the Yamuna River by providing organised sewer connectivity to areas currently discharging wastewater into open drains.
Original plan (sanctioned 2018): laying 57 kilometres of sewer lines; only 32 kilometres completed before stalling from 2020 onwards.
Revived project: 25 kilometres of underground sewer lines, ranging from 300 mm to 700 mm in diameter, to be laid over 9 months.
Beneficiaries: approximately 300,000 residents across 11 unauthorised colonies in Deoli and Ambedkar Nagar.

Residents of Deoli village in Sangam Vihar have battled for four decades to receive government compensation for land acquired in the early 1980s.
Key facts
Deoli village in Sangam Vihar, located on the edge of the Southern Ridge, experienced land acquisition by Delhi government in early 1980s. Government transferred uncultivable ridge land to itself in 1954 under Delhi Land Revenue Act, but villagers claim they owned agricultural land and used ridge areas for sustenance. Local resident Puneet Singhal states he has revenue records from Tis Hazari revenue office proving title to land with tax payments until 1988. Delhi High Court ruled in favour of farmers in 2002, directing government compensation. In 2005, Land Acquisition Commissioner informed court villagers could not prove land extent. Case dismissed in 2009, with villagers granted appeal option. Land now controlled by forest department as part of Tilpath Valley Biodiversity Park, preserving ecology but leaving villagers without compensation or access to ancestral land. Villagers lost traditional livelihood sources and cultural practices. Sunil from Valmiki community noted temple to local deity Mahamai on acquired land where annual Diwali feast was organized.

Commuters face dust, debris, uneven road surfaces and waterlogged potholes; sections near Khanpur and Ambedkar Nagar were submerged after moderate rain on Monday. Residents say waterlogging can follow a 10-minute drizzle, roadside construction debris reduces visibility, and motorcyclists and pedestrians face safety hazards. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation had said it was regularly sprinkling water to control dust, but residents say the measures are infrequent and insufficient. Despite repeated complaints, they report little improvement as the monsoon intensifies and construction continues.
