The Greater Noida authority has prepared a project to protect and conserve Surajpur wetland, which spans 325 hectares including a 60-hectare natural lake on Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera road, 20km from Noida. The wetland faces challenges from wastewater discharge, pollution, encroachment, and groundwater exploitation.

The authority plans to:

• Set up a 45 MLD sewage treatment plant to treat wastewater before it reaches the wetland
• Collaborate with research institutes, NGOs, and environmental experts on water management techniques including rainwater harvesting, watershed management, and groundwater recharge
• Implement wetland vegetation restoration and bioremediation solutions
• Develop community programmes educating residents and farmers on sustainable water usage and efficient irrigation
• Establish monitoring systems to track water levels, quality, and biodiversity
• Prevent illegal construction around the wetland

The authority has issued an expression of interest to engage organisations with water conservation expertise. The wetland attracts numerous visitors during winter to observe native and migratory bird species and serves as a crucial green lung for the city, playing a key role in groundwater recharge. Concerns include residential and mixed-use projects by developers on the sanctuary's edge and unauthorised agricultural land sales for residential use.

• Greater Noida’s proposed Bodaki Multi-Modal Transport Hub, near Dadri, is planned across around 267 acres, with a modern railway terminus, an Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT), mass rapid transit, commercial and business facilities, hotels and shopping facilities. Land use and specifications remain subject to change.
• NCRTC lists the proposed Ghaziabad–Jewar (Noida Airport) Namo Bharat corridor among corridors in advanced approval stages. The approximately 72.44-km corridor is planned to provide regional rail and metro services; its alignment and station configuration await final approval.
• Metro connectivity to the Bodaki terminal has also been discussed. Planned road access includes links towards the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, NH-34, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Lucknow Zonal Office, attached 389 immovable properties valued at Rs 240.03 crore (present market value over Rs 700 crore) belonging to Bhasin Infra under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Attachments included:

• 5 properties in Goa worth Rs 37 crore in names of India Oceanworld Pvt. Ltd. and Goa Connect Properties Pvt. Ltd.
• 384 commercial units/shops in Grand Venice Mall, Greater Noida, valued at Rs 203 crore, diverted to Grand Express Developers Pvt. Ltd.

Director Satinder Singh Bhasin launched the Grand Venezia Commercial Complex at Surajpur, Greater Noida, and induced investors with false assurances of returns and timely possession. After collecting substantial sums, neither possession was delivered nor refunds made to hundreds of investors.

Customer advances were routed through related Bhasin Group entities including Niche Builders & Contractors Pvt. Ltd. to obscure money trail, then used to acquire high-value real estate in Goa. The 4,25,152 sq. ft. of commercial space (384 units) was diverted using forged and back-dated agreements to place assets beyond reach of Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process pending before NCLT.

Bhasin was arrested in May 2026. Earlier search operations in April 2025 seized incriminating documents, digital devices, and Rs 36 lakh cash, with a bank account frozen. Property worth Rs 27 crore was provisionally attached in June 2025.

Noida Authority has begun preparations for smooth transportation in New Noida, which will be built on land belonging to 80 villages in Dadri and Bulandshahr, Greater Noida. The development will have direct connections with Yamuna and Ganga Expressway.

Greater Noida has floated tenders for 39 projects worth nearly ₹43 crore. A U-turn is planned ahead of Tilpata roundabout on the road connecting Greater Noida to Greater Noida West; construction is expected to take around three months. The tender process is expected to finish within a month.

Other works include resurfacing internal roads in Knowledge Park-I; drain repairs and covering and CC road repairs in Badalpur; road and civic infrastructure upgrades in Adarsh Vihar Society; development works in Thapkhera and Surajpur village settlements; and cremation-ground construction and renovation in Haldoni and Roza Jalalpur.

Sector P-3 will get a renovated shopping complex and grass paver blocks along a 24-metre-wide road. Landscaping and grass-grid work is planned along a 24-metre road in Knowledge Park-I. Science laboratories will be established in schools in Chipiyana Buzurg, Haibatpur Achheja, Milak Lachhi, Vaidpura, Sunpura, Dhoom Manikpur, Roopvas, Kailashpur, Dankaur, Surajpur and Bulandkhera. Electrical works include electrification and LED streetlights in Ecotech-10 and along SK Road from Kasna to Sirsa rotary. Jaitpur-Vaishpur villages will receive water-supply and pump-house repairs under the model village development programme.
