Greater Noida Approves 37-Kilometre Link to Hapur and Ganga Expressway

Greater Noida approved a 37-kilometre extension to Hapur bypass, with a further 15-kilometre link to the Ganga Expressway.

Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority’s board approved extending an eight-lane, 105-metre-wide road from the city to Hapur bypass, then linking it to the Ganga Expressway. The road currently runs from Sector Alpha 2 to a point about six kilometres near Bodaki village. The approved extension will cover 37 kilometres to Hapur bypass, followed by a further 15-kilometre link to the expressway. The connection is expected to let commuters reach the expressway from Greater Noida in 30 to 45 minutes. The project has been incorporated into Master Plan 2041. The board also approved a FY27 budget of ₹6,048 crore and 102-metre firefighting platforms.

Authority waived Rs 100/day penalty on unregistered flats for three months. Nearly 30,000 flats remain unregistered.

Board approved Rs 5,600 crore budget for 2025-26: Rs 1,400 crore for land acquisition, Rs 1,973 crore for construction and development, Rs 515 crore for village development, Rs 292 crore for capital payments.

Capital projects include sports complex in Greater Noida West, synthetic track at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, grounds in Greater Noida east and west, multipurpose halls, Aqua Line metro extension in Greater Noida West, elevated road from Shahberi to Crossings Republik Ghaziabad.

Development budget covers foot overbridges, sewage treatment plants, underpasses, structured parks, electric substations, hospitals, health centres. Green belt target: Rs 100 crore.
