Sarita Vihar is one the most reputed area in South Delhi as all the basic amenities like electricity and water supply is excellent there has never been any kind of water aur electricity crises. It has great connectivity like no other as very very near to two metro stations Sarita Vihar metro station and Jasola Vihar metro station also half an hour away from GIP and Botanical Garden Station also a new metro station is being constructed at Living Style Mall Jasola Vihar which is just 2 minutes away and due to all these things property here becomes very special and of opportunity.

MCD to build 300-tonne biogas plant at Ghazipur dairy farm

Delhi's Municipal Corporation plans a 300 tonnes-per-day biogas plant at Ghazipur dairy farm to prevent dairy waste entering the Yamuna river.

Key facts

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is planning to set up a 300 tonnes-per-day biogas plant at Ghazipur dairy farm on around five acres of land. The tender will be issued in the next few days, with the proposal placed before the House later in April 2026.

The plant is part of MCD's action plan to prevent dairy waste from reaching the Yamuna through city drains. Work includes ten biogas plants, nine wastewater treatment facilities, drainage overhaul in dairy colonies, and sedimentation chamber development.

MCD and Delhi government are collaborating with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to manage waste from dairies and cow shelters. MCD oversees 11 authorized dairy colonies in Delhi.

Operational facility: Nangali dairy biogas plant processing 200 TPD. Under construction: Goyla dairy and Ghogha dairy plants.

Proposed ten additional biogas plants at Bhalswa dairy, Masoodpur dairy, Madanpur Khadar, Sarita Vihar, Mangolpuri (Outer Ring Road), Pitampura, Sector 3 Rohini, Sagarpur, and Sri Ram Colony (Khajuri Khas), with cumulative capacity of 1400 TPD waste.

Delhi government plans a new 5km road from Aali Vihar to Mathura Road and a metro corridor linking Botanical Garden, Kalindi Kunj, and Tughlakabad to ease traffic.

Delhi government plans a new two-lane road approximately 5 kilometres long running from Aali Vihar to Mathura Road to streamline traffic between South Delhi, Noida and Faridabad. The road aims to ease pressure on Kalindi Kunj intersection and Ashram-Aali Road. The project will be developed along the Agra Canal in East Delhi, improving access to Aali village and strengthening connectivity with Sarita Vihar, Noida and South Delhi. A parallel metro corridor will connect Botanical Garden, Kalindi Kunj, Sarita Vihar and Tughlakabad to bypass the Kalindi Kunj bottleneck and offer a faster alternative mode of transport. Both initiatives address long-standing congestion issues that significantly increase travel time between Noida and Faridabad. Planning for the road project is underway with construction details expected to be announced soon.
