Around 75 life members of Boomerang – The Club, C'est la vie at Jaypee Greens Wish Town in Sector 128, Noida have accused Jaypee Associates Ltd of converting a private members-only club into a commercial facility without approval or notification.

The Boomerang Club was planned as a premium three-storey facility across 50,000 square feet for township residents. Only two floors were developed before inauguration last year. Members allege the developer introduced spa, gaming zone, conference rooms, and cafe services for non-members.

Members claim the land was originally earmarked for an exclusive recreational club but is now used for commercial activities open to outsiders. They question how a commercial complex was developed in place of the proposed members-only club, noting it does not appear in the approved Master Plan.

Residents' demands include: disclosure of written approval from competent authority for commercial construction, details of maintenance funds collected, completion of all three floors reserved only for members, and appointment of single authorised representative for communications.

Life membership fees have risen sharply: Rs 10 lakh in 2013 to Rs 26 lakh in 2026. Original amenities advertised included swimming pool, gym, golf access, banquet hall, restaurants, meeting rooms, health and wellness facilities, coffee house, and bar.

Jaypee Wish Town is a premium residential township along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway with golf-linked apartments, villas, and high-rise towers. Jaypee Associates entered insolvency in 2017 due to mounting debt and project delays. National Company Law Tribunal approved Rs 14,535-crore resolution plan by Adani Enterprises for Jaiprakash Associates Ltd earlier this year.

Members, including retired senior government officials and defence officers, issued six formal demands to Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL) and its Resolution Professional alleging the Boomerang Complex does not exist in the Master Plan and questioning who authorised building a commercial complex in its place.

On 17 March 2026, the Allahabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved Adani Enterprises' ₹14,535 crore resolution plan for JAL. The plan earmarked ₹2,074 crore for homebuyer claims and offered buyers choice between home delivery within two years or refund of actual purchase price, with ₹800 crore set aside separately.

Members report lifetime memberships are being downgraded to 30-year tenures, club access originally restricted to Wish Town residents is being extended to outsiders, and Jaypee Hotels Ltd is collecting annual subscription fees despite members holding no contract with this entity.

Members demand: written sanction for commercial construction from competent authority with all planning and zoning approvals; audited accounts of maintenance deposits; complete count of life members with clarity on contractual entitlements; confirmation whether the Resolution Professional permitted the Jaypee Hotels arrangement with relevant orders.

Members are withholding subscription payments pending answers and reserving right to approach NCLT, consumer forums and regulatory authorities. They expect delivery of the full 50,000 sq ft three-storeyed private facility as originally represented.

Approximately 8,000 homebuyers across multiple JAL projects await possession, many having booked around 2011 with substantial or full payments made; several towers remain incomplete.
