Delays by the initial contractor led to termination of its contract; multiple re-tendering attempts failed before BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd was awarded the work.

A Bengaluru woman commissioned a custom fridge magnet depicting the incomplete flyover. Her post on X prompted jokes and requests for the maker’s details; she said it was made by Instagram business Shrinkray Studio.

After three unsuccessful tender rounds, Hyderabad-based BSCPCL Pvt Ltd became contractor in November 2023, with 15 months to finish the remaining work.   • Work includes 70 of 84 pillars and 325 of 762 segments installed, ramps near Madiwala-Ejipura and a loop towards Sarjapur. BBMP has begun transplanting 30–40 trees along the route.
