Anna Nagar West was developed by Tamil Nadu housing board in 1973 for the benefit of govt employees &other common people of the region. It has developed a lot during the course of years and many reputed schools & colleges have come up in this area. One of the reputed schools for example is SBOA school .

TNRERA Bars TVS Emerald Luxor Ads Until Address Is Corrected

TNRERA ordered Emerald Haven Development to correct TVS Emerald Luxor’s address records and document compliance before advertising the Chennai project again.

Key facts

Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA), in a July 29 order, directed Emerald Haven Development Limited to correct TVS Emerald Luxor’s address details and file a memo with supporting documents before advertising it again. The action followed a complaint about advertisements placing the project in Anna Nagar. An April 2 order had barred misleading advertisements, required their removal from social media and sought a compliance report; the developer also sought withdrawal of interim directions issued on April 2 and June 10.

The developer said the project is on Gurusamy Street, off Clock Tower Road, Anna Nagar West Extension, Chennai 600040, and that its postal address also uses PIN 600040. Its RERA registration certificate, dated March 27, 2023, instead lists Padi Village, PIN 600050. The developer called this a clerical error and said it had sought rectification from CMDA, Greater Chennai Corporation and TNRERA on May 21, and had updated its website and hoardings. TNRERA said documentary proof of those representations was not provided and rectification remained pending. The developer said its advertising complied with directions issued in August and October 2025.
