Fraudulent E-Khata issued for Vijinapura property triggers FIR

Ramamurthy Nagar Police filed an FIR after BBMP and GBA officials issued a fraudulent e-Khata for a 26,623 sq ft Vijinapura property despite pending court cases and injunctions.

Key facts

Property owners complained that Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) revenue officials issued an e-Khata for Survey No. 94 without verification. The disputed property in Vijinapura measures 26,623 sq ft. In July 2022, property owners submitted a complaint to GBA Joint Commissioner noting multiple cases pending in City Civil Court (Case Nos. FDP 120/2004 and FDP 67/2002) with temporary injunctions prohibiting any transfer, registration, or mutation of ownership. The e-Khata was issued to Kerala Samajam Secretary Radhakrishna AP. On September 23, 2025, City Civil Judge issued another temporary injunction preventing Kerala Samajam from undertaking any construction or property transactions. The court order noted the legal battle had been ongoing for more than 75 years without finality. In February 2025, property owner Yatish M approached BBMP Joint Commissioner of Mahadevapura Zone requesting no e-Khata be issued for the disputed property and contacted the Inspector General of Registration seeking cancellation of allegedly fraudulently registered sale deeds.
