The nearly 1.5-km Sirhaul-Kapashera border road, a main access route to Udyog Vihar phases 1, 2 and 3, is marred by potholes, uneven patches and damaged footpaths, with vehicles parked along the carriageway. The deterioration begins shortly after the road’s Kapashera-side entry. Resurfacing work costing ₹6 crore was carried out in 2024.

GMDA plans to redevelop a 200-metre portion of Rao Gajraj Singh Marg in Udyog Vihar, near Old Delhi-Gurgaon Road. The stretch will be reconstructed in concrete and fitted with new drainage to curb recurring waterlogging and prevent damage to the road surface.

The planned elevated Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) loop will run 28.5 km from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City, with 27 stations. It is being implemented through the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC), as a joint Central and Haryana government initiative.

Phase 1 will cover 15.2 km from Millennium City Centre to Sector 9, serving areas including Sectors 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 22 and 23, and Ashok Vihar. Construction is ongoing; the first pile foundation was laid in Sector 45 at the end of 2025, with work also reported along Neki Ram Marg and near Subhash Chowk.

Phase 2 will cover 13.3 km from Sector 9 to Cyber City. Civil-work tenders were open and work was due to begin in 2026; the route includes Udyog Vihar Phase 6, Sector 18 and Cyber Park. Interchanges are planned at Millennium City Centre (Delhi Metro Yellow Line) and Cyber City (Rapid Metro); a future RRTS interchange is planned at Sector 33.

A proposed 1.85-km spur will connect Basai Village to Sector 101 on Dwarka Expressway. Residents of sectors including 82A, 84, 88A, 89, 99, 101, 103, 106 and 108 currently face an additional 20–30 minutes travelling to the nearest metro. Phase 1 plans skywalks and feeder buses linking Dwarka Expressway sectors with Basai; direct Sector 101 metro access would follow when the spur opens.

Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon, is a five-phase commercial corridor parallel to NH-48, with IT, ITeS, BPO, BFSI, GCC, professional-services, light-manufacturing and logistics tenants. Rents in 2026 range from ₹85-115 per sq ft depending on grade and phase; the guide’s overview cites ₹85-110, while Phase I and II rates are ₹75-95 and top-tier Phase V rates ₹95-115. Phase I and II have older buildings and mixed industrial uses; Phase III has a mature IT/ITeS ecosystem but varied building quality. Newer Phase IV and V offer more reliable infrastructure and larger floor plates; Phase V suits companies needing space for 200+ seats. Udyog Vihar is described as 30-40% cheaper than Cyber City.

Cyber City Rapid Metro is 0.5-2.2 km on foot from AIHP buildings and connects to the Yellow Line at Sikanderpur. NH-48 links the area to Delhi via Dhaula Kuan in 15-20 minutes; IGI Terminal 3 is about 11 km or 20 minutes off-peak. Faridabad-to-Phase IV travel takes 35-45 minutes. AIHP’s headquarters is at 249-G, Phase IV.

• Gurugram Metro will run on a double-decker flyover along Old Delhi Road between Jwala Mill T-point and Dundahera after GMDA asked GMRL to design the stretch as an elevated corridor.
• About 1.25 km of the metro line will share pillars with an elevated road; one deck will carry the metro and the other the road.
• Additional land is being identified for the Sector 21 metro station.
• The proposal was discussed in a review meeting at the GMRL office last week.
• The alignment was changed from Rao Gajraj Singh Road towards Dundahera to reach more commuters along Old Delhi Road and Udyog Vihar.
• RRTS has also shifted its alignment from Old Delhi Road to the Delhi-Jaipur Highway.
• A similar double-decker plan has been proposed for the Ghata-Vatika Chowk stretch on the Sector 56 to Pachgaon metro route along the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), and was submitted to Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited in December last year.
• GMRL said double-decker models have been executed in Nagpur, Jaipur and Bengaluru and can substantially cut construction costs.
• GMDA is exploring an elevated corridor from Rajiv Chowk to the railway station and Atul Kataria Chowk, spanning 7.4 km.
• A second elevated road is planned from Atul Kataria Chowk to Dwarka Expressway via Dundahera on Old Delhi Gurgaon Road.
• A third 3.7 km stretch is planned from Mahavir Chowk to Iffco Chowk.
