Gurgaon Plans Upgrades for 20 Sector Markets

MCG has begun planning upgrades for 20 Gurgaon sector markets transferred from HSVP, with work underway in Sector 56 and estimates prepared elsewhere.

MCG began redevelopment planning for 20 sector markets transferred by HSVP in August 2025. The transfer also covered 1,485 residential plots and 16 institutional plots across Gurgaon, under an agreement assigning administrative and development responsibilities to the municipal corporation.

Planned upgrades include parking, public toilets, landscaping and street lighting. Most works remain at preliminary stages, including estimate preparation and administrative approval.

A ₹1.3-crore contract has been issued for repairs to parking, sewerage and public utilities in Sector 56. Estimates were finalised for Sector 10A market (₹2 crore) and Sector 46 market (₹8.3 crore).
