Ahmedabad Water and Drainage Upgrade to Cover 2,984 Hectares

AUDA’s water and drainage infrastructure upgrade will cover 2,984 hectares across Ahmedabad-area zones, with projects designed to serve more than six lakh residents.

Key facts

Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is advancing an infrastructure upgrade to address drinking water, drainage and waterlogging across its western and eastern jurisdiction.

603 hectares across Ranasan, Enasan, Muthia, Bilasiya and Hanspura will benefit 58,000 residents.
907 hectares across Santej, Lapkaman and Rakanpur will benefit 2.8 lakh residents.
1,474 hectares across Jetalpur, Aslali, Gamdi, Nandej and Gertpur will benefit 3.35 lakh residents.
In the western Lilapur-Ognaj belt, a drainage network across 786 hectares is designed to handle 27 MLD of sewage by 2041 and 49 MLD by 2056.
