HYDRAA secured nearly seven acres of land earmarked for parks and public utilities in Kondapur following complaints of encroachment in Rajarajeshwari Nagar Colony. A gram panchayat layout approved in 1993 for the colony comprised 2,059 plots with five acres reserved for a government junior college, almost one acre for a school, over one acre for parks, and 2,181 square yards for a community hall. Residents alleged that portions of reserved land had been encroached: approximately 1,000 square yards earmarked for a school was developed into an apartment block; private shops and sheds were built on land set aside for community use; encroachments also affected roads in the layout. The colony welfare association, representing about 5,000 families, raised the issue during HYDRAA's public grievance programme, stating that lands reserved for public purposes are not eligible for regularisation under LRS and should remain for community use. Following field inspection, officials verified the land as parkland and public utility space according to the approved layout. Encroachments were removed, fences erected around identified plots, and signs placed to indicate designated public use.

A walk from Durgam Cheruvu through Hitech City, Raidurg, Kondapur and Gachibowli to the Financial District and Nanakramguda found wide, clean footpaths in some stretches and broken, obstructed or missing paths in others. In June 2026, the Supreme Court said safe footpaths are a fundamental right under Articles 19(1)(d) and 21.

The Financial District has the route’s best continuous footpaths; the stretch outside IKEA and paths near Shilparamam, Cyber Towers and the National Institute of Fashion Technology are also in good condition. The Hitech City Metro station supports pedestrian access.

Around Mindspace, roadworks have pushed pedestrians onto the road. Raidurg Metro station’s narrow footpath has broken tiles, pipes and construction debris; other sections are dug up or used for parking. In Kondapur, parked cars and two-wheelers block paths, while there is no footpath near Aura Hospitals in Raghavendra Colony. Raja Rajeshwara Nagar towards Masjid Banda has only a dirt edge. Near Botanical Garden, a tiled path is available but dirty; along the University of Hyderabad, pedestrians have only a dirt strip that turns muddy in rain.

HYDRAA cleared encroachments from five acres of land in Survey Nos. 78 to 93, Kondapur village, Serilingampally mandal, Rangareddy district. The land is part of Raja Rajeswari Nagar layout, developed in 1993 with 2,059 plots. The layout originally earmarked 5 acres for a Government Junior College and 2,181 square yards for a community hall. Government officials from the School Education Department, Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner G Srijana, and HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath inspected the reclaimed site on Sunday. A top-class government educational institution will be built on the land. Additionally, 1.5 acres recovered from encroachers will be developed into a public park. HYDRAA has reclaimed approximately 1,350 acres of government, lake, park, and open space lands valued at over ₹70,000 crore. Legal clearances will precede formal handover of the land for public utilisation. Community residents and welfare associations are participating in legal cases against alleged land grabbers.
