Prestige Falcon City, a 2,500-unit luxury gated community in Bangalore, has asked residents to use disposable plates and wet wipes after the state government seized private water tankers for drought-stricken areas.

Prestige Falcon City on Kanakapura Road, comprising 2,500 units, advised residents to use disposable plates, cups and wet tissues to conserve water during acute shortage. The community's internal message stated that authorities seized all water tankers to supply areas with severe water scarcity. The residents' association also requested residents who could procure water tankers to come forward. According to the residents' association president, water supply arrangements were made with supply scheduled from 6 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 11 pm. The community practices water conservation including bucket bathing and reusing reverse osmosis purifier wastewater. The president noted four months remain until monsoon arrives. Karnataka's deputy chief minister announced a war room to monitor Bengaluru's water situation in real-time, with BBMP helplines and ward-wise grievance centers in place.
