On November 16, 2025, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the renaming of three metro stations for local identity:

• Proposed Uttari Pitampura Station in QU Block: Uttari Pitampura-Prashant Vihar Metro Station.
• Proposed Pitampura North Metro Station: Haiderpur Village Metro Station.
• Current Pitampura Metro Station: Madhuban Chowk Metro Station. She made the announcement at the Shresth Bharat Sampark Yatra in Haiderpur village, held in honour of martyrs of the 1962 Rezang La battle. A total of 114 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment died in the battle, fought at more than 16,000 feet above mean sea level. Gupta said widening of Max Hospital Road and construction of an underpass were progressing rapidly.

DMRC will carry out a feasibility study for an integrated double-decker flyover-cum-metro corridor along the proposed Keshav Puram-Rohini Sector 34 corridor, part of Phase-V(B) expansion. The 16.3-km corridor is one of seven proposed expansions awaiting final approval. If feasible, it will be the city's fourth double-decker flyover, with three currently under construction. On a double-decker viaduct, vehicles run on the lower deck while metro runs on the upper deck.

A tender has been floated for a consultancy service to conduct the study. Estimated cost: Rs 2 crore, expected completion: six months.

The proposed corridor will be fully elevated with 12 stations connecting West Shalimar Bagh, East Pitampura, Rohini Sector 16, Delhi Technological University and Rohini Sector 29. Three stations will have interchange facilities: Keshavpuram (Red Line), North Pitampura (Pink Line) and Rohini Sector 34 (Red Line).

Existing double-decker viaducts under construction:

• Bhajanpura-Yamuna Vihar (Pink Line): 1.4 km, expected operational by year-end
• Azadpur-Ashok Vihar (Magenta Line extension): 2.2 km, expected ready by year-end
• Sangam Vihar-Ambedkar Nagar (Golden Line): 2.4 km, longest of the three

Other DMRC Phase-IV projects under construction: Krishna Park Extension to Deepali Chowk, Inderlok to Indraprastha (Magenta Line extensions), Delhi Aerocity to Tughlaqabad and Saket G Block to Lajpat Nagar (Golden Line), Rithala-Kundli (Red Line extension).

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is planning to set up a 300 tonnes-per-day biogas plant at Ghazipur dairy farm on around five acres of land. The tender will be issued in the next few days, with the proposal placed before the House later in April 2026.

The plant is part of MCD's action plan to prevent dairy waste from reaching the Yamuna through city drains. Work includes ten biogas plants, nine wastewater treatment facilities, drainage overhaul in dairy colonies, and sedimentation chamber development.

MCD and Delhi government are collaborating with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to manage waste from dairies and cow shelters. MCD oversees 11 authorized dairy colonies in Delhi.

Operational facility: Nangali dairy biogas plant processing 200 TPD. Under construction: Goyla dairy and Ghogha dairy plants.

Proposed ten additional biogas plants at Bhalswa dairy, Masoodpur dairy, Madanpur Khadar, Sarita Vihar, Mangolpuri (Outer Ring Road), Pitampura, Sector 3 Rohini, Sagarpur, and Sri Ram Colony (Khajuri Khas), with cumulative capacity of 1400 TPD waste.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the renaming of three metro stations to improve passenger convenience and reflect local identity. Pitampura station on the Red Line will become Madhuban Chowk and is expected to become an interchange when the Magenta Line’s RK Puram–Janakpuri corridor under Phase IV opens. The under-construction North Pitampura station in QU Block will be named North Pitampura–Prashant Vihar. The proposed Pitampura North station will be called Haiderpur Village. Both are on the RK Puram–Janakpuri corridor, expected to open to the public next year.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plans to launch its Premium Housing Scheme 2025 in August, offering about 250 flats and 67 car or scooter garages through e-auction. The scheme was approved at a meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.

• 39 HIG flats in Vasant Kunj, Jasola Pocket 9B and Dwarka Sector 19B: reserved prices ₹1.6 crore–₹2.5 crore.
• 48 MIG flats in Jahangirpuri, Nand Nagri, Dwarka and Pitampura: ₹60 lakh–₹1.5 crore.
• 22 LIG flats in Rohini: ₹39 lakh–₹54 lakh.
• 66 EHS flats in Pocket 9, Nasirpur, Dwarka: ₹38.7 lakh.
• Two SFS Category-II flats in Sector 18, Rohini, and Shalimar Bagh: ₹90 lakh to over ₹1 crore.

Garage reserve prices range from over ₹3.1 lakh to ₹43 lakh; final prices depend on bids. DDA cut commercial-property amalgamation charges from 10% to 1% of circle rate and the auction multiplier from twice to 1.5 times circle rate.

DDA’s Apna Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025 offers 7,500 units, with discounts of 25% on LIG and 15% on EWS, MIG and HIG flats. Launched May 27, it had sold over 850 flats by June 28, including 630 in Narela.
