Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy took note of poor maintenance and frequent road accidents on Outer Ring Road (ORR), directing authorities to adopt measures to stop road mishaps.

At a review meeting with HMDA and HRDCL officials on August 6, 2026, the CM directed expedited completion of Radial Road 1 connecting Kongara Kalan to Future City by December 9.

Also reviewed: construction quality of roads, soil used, Badvel trumpet interchange, elevated corridor III stretch from Banjara Hills to Shilpa Layout, and progress of elevated corridors I and II.

The CM directed integration of all road network development works including land acquisition, loans, and maintenance under a single system, covering ORR, Regional Ring Road, city flyovers, and underpasses.

Regarding Transferable Development Rights (TDR) implementation, specific instructions were given to issue TDR only for government-acquired lands and digitize the entire process.

Attendees included MAUD Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary to CM Manik Raj, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Ranga Reddy Collector Narayana Reddy.

The Telangana High Court on 28 January 2025 froze all activity on 72 acres (Survey No. 249) in Kongara Kalan village, Rangareddy district, after finding missing essential files regarding the land's exclusion from a prohibitory list.

Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy directed the principal secretary of revenue and Rangareddy district collector to provide details about deletion of the land from the prohibition list and issuance of pattadar passbooks to private parties.

Local resident K. Praveen Goud petitioned the court, stating the Rangareddy collector in November 2019 issued a letter to delete 72 acres from the prohibitory list out of 1,026 acres 19 guntas in Survey No. 249. He contended the land was notified as a reserve forest and the collector lacked authority to de-notify it.

Based on the collector's 2019 letter, the Rangareddy collectorate administrative officer on 19 June 2024 issued a memo for deletion. Following this, pattadar passbooks were issued to private parties and transactions occurred.

Court officials reported no file could be traced for Praveen Goud's RTI application. Even when the court directed production of all records, authorities could not locate them.

The court directed the district collector to submit an explanation by 24 February on the land's nature, whether the memo was issued, and on what basis the collector recommended deletion from the prohibitory list. The court prohibited any transactions on the land pending further orders.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu visited the Foxconn project in Kongara Kalan, Rangareddy district, and reviewed progress with company representatives and CEO Sidney Lu via video conference.

The CM assured the company of state infrastructure support and urged exploration of investments in electric mobility and lithium battery sectors.

Foxconn broke ground in May 2023 for the $550 million facility. Foxconn chairman Young Liu met the CM in August to discuss investment opportunities in Hyderabad, including the proposed fourth city development on the outskirts. The company is exploring additional factory locations in the state.
