CIDCO Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ashwin Mudgal formally handed over Targhar, Bamandongari and Kharkopar railway stations and associated assets to Central Railway officials.

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) prepares for launch with final checks, trial runs, and security drills. At Kharkopar railway station, the end stop for NMMT bus routes 17, 18, and 23 which pass along the airport stretch, conductors lack basic shelter. The station serves as a rest area between trips. NMMT conductors huddle under narrow shade of a private hotel in Sector 16. Sharad Deshmukh, an NMMT conductor for 24 years, says the situation at Kharkopar has remained unchanged for years.

CIDCO completed a multi-level car parking facility in Kharkopar comprising Ground + 6 floors. The six upper floors are allocated for car parking and the ground floor is designated as a community center. Construction was completed in 42 days. This facility is part of a scheme with construction progressing across various nodes in Navi Mumbai with residential units being made available in phases.

CIDCO completed a Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) facility in Kharkopar in 42 days under Mission-45, three days ahead of schedule. Construction began March 4, 2025, completed April 17, 2025. Typically such projects take six months.

Structure: Ground plus six floors; ground floor is Community Centre; six floors for car parking; 1.43 lakh sq ft built-up area; capacity 365 four-wheelers.

Construction used advanced precast technology with 2,212 precast components for RCC structure from plinth to terrace.

Part of Package-4 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), where CIDCO is constructing over 67,000 tenements in various Navi Mumbai nodes. CIDCO VP and MD Vijay Singhal stated: "our motto is quality without compromise, speed without delay, and safety above all." The facility addresses rising personal vehicle numbers and urban parking challenges.

Three railway stations in Navi Mumbai—Targhar, Kharkopar and Bamandongri—have been officially transferred from Cidco to Central Railway. The transfer was formalised through a memorandum of understanding signed by officials from Cidco and Central Railway, with Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske present. The development aims to improve amenities and station maintenance for Navi Mumbai railway commuters. Other stations are expected to follow.
