BBMP chief orders speedy completion of Hennur-Bagalur flyover

Bangalore's BBMP chief inspected infrastructure projects and ordered expedited completion of Hennur-Bagalur Road white-topping and Hosakerehalli Flyover work.

Key facts

Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao conducted late-night inspection from 11:30 pm to 2:45 am reviewing white-topping progress on Hennur-Bagalur Road, asphalting on Outer Ring Road, Hosakerehalli Flyover completion, and JC Road white-topping project.

JC Road: White-topping work from Minerva Circle to Town Hall (1 km stretch) in progress. Half completed and open to traffic; remaining 250 meters to finish within four days.

Hennur-Bagalur Road: Bengaluru East City Corporation executing approximately 5 km with white-topping work. Completed 1 km on one side and 600 meters on other side. Traffic to be restricted on 1.2 km from Poorna Prajna School to Gubbi Cross to accelerate completion within 25 days, with phased 1.5 km traffic restrictions thereafter. Home Guards to be deployed to prevent parking in work zones.

Hosakerehalli Flyover: Construction completed. Minor works pending: line marking and signage. Traffic allowed on 380-meter stretch.

Bhadrappa Layout: Asphalting work underway under High-Density Corridor Project with emphasis on drainage slope and cleanliness drive along corridor roads using jet sprays.

Peenya area: Pothole repair work near Basaveshwara Bus Stand inspected with standard compliance directed.
