About

Dangartoli sits between Lalpur and Kantatoli, close to the roads that carry traffic across central Ranchi. It is a practical address for people whose daily routines centre on the city centre: colleges, hospitals, shops, the bus stand and the railway station are all within reach. The trade-off is traffic on those same connecting roads.

Location and everyday travel

Khadgara Bus Stand is about 1 km from Dangartoli, Ranchi railway station about 3 km and Birsa Munda Airport about 8 km. St. Xavier’s College and Ranchi University are each roughly 2 km away. St Barnabas Hospital is about 1 km away, while Cure & Care is closer. R.Ali’s Grand Mall and Reliance Centro are both about 2 km from the locality.

This concentration of services is part of Dangartoli’s appeal. Residents have schools, healthcare and shopping nearby, without needing to cross the city for routine needs. Students at the central colleges and people working around Lalpur, Main Road or the station also have a short commute. The Heavy Engineering Corporation and Usha Martin factory are each about 13 km away, making Dangartoli less convenient for people travelling there every day.

Road access comes with some friction. The Times of India reported in September 2026 that the Dangratoli-Kantatoli stretch was among the routes identified for the phased closure of hazardous divider openings. It also reported in September that advertising structures were reducing pedestrian space on busy roads in nearby Lalpur. This is a central, active part of Ranchi, where the specific street and its access to a main road matter more to daily comfort than the locality name alone.

A proposed integrated flyover route through Lalpur, Firayalal and Dangratoli remains a proposal. Moneycontrol Hindi reported it in September 2026 as part of the city’s flyover plans. The Sirmatoli-Kantatoli connecting flyover is a separate project under construction. Dainik Bhaskar reported in September 2026 that land-related hurdles had been resolved and work had accelerated. Neither project changes how residents travel through Dangartoli today.

Homes and asking rents

Flats are the residential property type represented in Dangartoli’s current listings. Asking rents on PropertyWala put apartments here at about ₹13 per sq ft a month, against ₹8 per sq ft across Ranchi, for the period from 2021 Q4 to 2026 Q3. The Dangartoli figure is based on a small sample, but it is above the city average.1

The wider rental search around Dangartoli also includes flats in neighbouring Kanka and Lalpur. Apartment asking rents across those nearby results are around ₹15,000-₹16,000 a month. Tenants can use these adjoining localities for a street-by-street comparison, especially where homes offer similarly short journeys to a college, hospital or workplace.

For purchase, the sale search around Dangartoli is dominated by nearby addresses, particularly Lalpur. Two-bedroom flats there are priced at roughly ₹53-79 lakh, while three-bedroom flats range from about ₹68 lakh to ₹1.1 crore. These are asking ranges for neighbouring areas, not a going rate for Dangartoli. They offer buyers a more useful guide to the central-Ranchi budget than an old locality-wide sale figure for homes available now.

Who the address fits

Dangartoli works best for tenants and families who use central Ranchi every day. It is most appealing to those who value a short trip to St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi University, a nearby hospital or the station over a quieter road on the city’s outskirts. The local mix of flats also makes it a straightforward place to search for an apartment rental.

For buyers, the decision depends more on the individual street. A flat set back from a busy connector and one facing the route towards Kantatoli share an address but offer different everyday conditions. The September 2026 traffic measures underline the importance of road access here. People seeking a wide choice of new developments, or whose workplace is on the HEC side of Ranchi, have less reason to focus on Dangartoli.

Nearby places to compare

Lalpur is the most immediate comparison for buyers and tenants looking for a central flat. It features prominently in nearby sale and rental results and keeps colleges and shopping areas close. Kantatoli is another option for people whose journeys run south of the centre. Traffic arrangements on the Dangratoli-Kantatoli route affect that choice directly.

Main Road brings the search closer to Ranchi’s principal commercial spine. Kanka and Bahu Bazaar extend it to neighbourhoods near the station. These alternatives are in the same broad part of the city, so the deciding factor is often the route taken each day, not just distance from central Ranchi.

PropertyWala's verdict

Dangartoli suits renters and buyers who prioritise access to central Ranchi, particularly households tied to Lalpur, the colleges, nearby hospitals or the railway station. People seeking quieter roads, a wider choice of new projects or an easier daily commute to the HEC side are better served by another address.

Ranchi to Seal 89 Hazardous Divider Cuts Across 12 Routes

Times of India · · Infrastructure

Ranchi traffic police identified 89 dangerous divider openings on 12 routes for phased closure, beginning with the Khelgaon–Kokar stretch, to reduce accidents and congestion.

Key facts

Ranchi traffic police identified 89 hazardous divider cuts across 12 major routes for immediate sealing to curb accidents and improve traffic flow. Officers from five traffic police stations—Khelgaon, Lalpur, Gonda, Jagannathpur and Pandra—surveyed their areas. A six-member committee, formed at Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri’s direction, will oversee inspections and closures; it includes representatives of the Traffic SP and Municipal Commissioner and two Circle Officers. Closures begin on Khelgaon–Kokar, with work proceeding in phases. Routes identified include Khelgaon Chowk–Kantatoli via Kokar; Khelgaon Chowk–Jumar Bridge via Booty More; Karamtoli Chowk–Booty More; Kantatoli–Durga Soren Chowk; Dangratoli–Kantatoli; Kanke Road; Sahjanand Chowk–HEC; Old Vidhan Sabha–Dhurwa Roundabout; Chandni Chowk–Tupudana and Hawai Nagar; Shalimar Bazaar–Prabhat Tara Ground; and Itki Road.

Ranchi Proposes Three New Flyovers Costing Up to ₹2,357 Crore

The bharatnow · · Infrastructure

Ranchi’s Urban Development Department has proposed three flyovers on major corridors, with estimated combined costs reported at ₹2,335.87 crore to ₹2,357 crore.

Key facts

Ranchi’s Urban Development Department has proposed flyovers on three corridors: Birsa Chowk–Tupudana Chowk, Kathal Mor–Daladili Chowk and an integrated Lalpur–Firayalal–Dangratoli route. JUDCO prepared the designs, presented on September 3, 2026, to Chief Minister Hemant Soren during discussions on planned urban development.

Reported combined cost estimates range from ₹2,335.87 crore to about ₹2,357 crore; the final figure depends on the detailed project report, administrative approval and subsequent procedures. The projects remain at an early proposal stage, and ₹885 crore is not their final approved cost. The first two corridors would improve Ring Road connectivity and could divert through-traffic from busy central roads.

Tender processes have advanced for three other flyovers: Karamtoli–Chiraundi (about 3 km), Argora–Chaputoli (about 4 km) and Harmu Road. L-1 companies were selected, with construction preparations targeting October after formalities. In October 2024, the state inaugurated or laid foundation stones for road and flyover projects including Bahu Bazaar–Shantinagar, Sirmatoli–MECON–Kantatoli and Sahajanand Chowk–Kanke Road.
