Residents reported household disruption and some bought jarred water. A Kokar hostel resident said supply had been inadequate for four days, with low pressure previously preventing its tank from filling. The hostel needs more than 5,000 litres daily.

Ranchi Municipal Corporation deployed quick-response teams and asked residents to report waterlogging at 1800-570-1235. Pundag river water entered homes along Panch Mandir Road in the Argora-Piper Toli area, ward 36. Residents said the guard wall was too low and had requested during the previous monsoon that it be raised by at least 3 feet. Engineers surveyed the site, prepared a plan and sent it to the RMC board, but work has not begun. Ward councillor Mahadev Bhengra said the RMC had been alerted and a vehicle arranged for drainage.
