NHAI’s Lucknow project implementation unit has proposed ₹185 crore for service lanes along both sides of the 13-km Kisan Path, the outer-ring-road section between Sultanpur Road and Ayodhya Road. The lanes would improve access from Chinhat and nearby villages to the Lucknow-Ayodhya and Lucknow-Sultanpur national highways, and separate local traffic from the overburdened main carriageway, which also carries heavy vehicles. Each lane will be 3.50 metres wide; the lane linking Ayodhya Road to Sultanpur Road will be 9.31 km long, and the opposite-side lane 8.80 km. Construction is expected to take one year after funds are sanctioned. The irrigation department has approved handing over land previously set aside as an embankment setback along the Indira Canal. Villages cited include Lolai, Mehora, Bakkas, Mehmoodpur, Juggaur and Dularmau, where plotted colonies and row houses have developed.
