Ulsoor is a well known old place and it is center locality for many places like M.G road, Ulsoor lake, Shivaji nagar, Cubbon park, Indiranagar, Domulur. It has good bus and metro connectivity. Schools like Frank antony, Lourds boys, St Annes, Banks like Vijya bank, Canara bank and SBI bank are here. No water problem in this area.

Bengaluru Central City Corporation has started a ₹4 crore desilting and restoration project at 108-acre Ulsoor Lake, expected to take three to four months.

Bengaluru Central City Corporation (BCCC) has begun development of 108-acre Ulsoor Lake, its sedimentation tank and Kalyani under a ₹4 crore National Disaster Mitigation Fund grant. Desilting is being undertaken for the first time since 2001–02; full-scale work is expected to begin within two weeks and take three to four months. Water is being diverted through the outlet, while the lake continues to receive 1.5 MLD of treated water from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board. Officials are considering diverting it to a major drain during the work. The lake’s water level has fallen to 3 feet, and fishing has stopped. The 120-member Bengaluru Meenu Utpanna Mattu Maratagara Sangha has maintained and fished the lake for 14 years. After restoration and refilling, fishing and the release of fishlings will resume. A public walking stretch is closed during the work; a pathway runs from RBANMS College to the Fire and Emergency Service Head Office, with access planned on the Annaswamy Mudaliar Road side.
