  • Approximately 300 notices were issued to property owners in the colony

Violations include unauthorized commercial activities: offices, showrooms, gyms, clinics, battery shops, grocery outlets, and department stores.

The department had previously issued show cause notices, and after finding replies unsatisfactory, issued restoration notices. The action follows complaints from local residents about violations putting pressure on infrastructure and causing nuisance.

The RWA president requested more time for property owners to submit replies and urged uniform, fair action against commercial activities in residential areas. The enforcement campaign has led some property owners to voluntarily stop commercial activities and remove illegal constructions. Similar restoration notices are expected from surveys of other private colonies.
