Arbour extended ₹70 crore structured credit facility to GSquare Group for residential plotted developments across Chennai's East Coast Road and Sriperumbudur corridors.

Launch pricing: ₹1,750 per sq. ft. for first 50 bookings; G Square price ₹2,500 per sq. ft.; indicated actual price ₹4,000 per sq. ft. The project is backed by Mumbai-based Arbour Investments providing institutional funding support. Customers can access discounts up to ₹5 lakhs on villa construction through Brick & Bolt, the Official Villa Construction Partner.

Eicher Motors Limited leased 3.92 lakh sq ft of industrial space at Casagrand Industrial Park in Sriperumbudur, Chennai, for seven years at ₹82.45 lakh per month (₹21.06 per sq ft per month). Property owned by Casagrand Blue Horizon Private Limited. Lease commenced August 31, rent payments begin May 2027. Security deposit ₹5.24 crore. Rent and maintenance escalate 3.5% annually after two years. Lease deed registered July 31, 2026.

This fulfils pre-leasing commitment announced in 2025 when Casagrand and Blackstone announced co-development of two industrial parks at Sriperumbudur spanning 4.2 million sq ft on 154 acres, with Blackstone investing ₹700 crore, facilities ready in 30 months. Eicher Motors slated to use 400,000 sq ft as Royal Enfield auto spare parts consolidation facility.

Casagrand Industrial & Warehousing has delivered 6 million sq ft and executing 15 million sq ft pipeline. Chennai warehousing market in H1-26 saw 2.3 million sq ft leasing (10% YoY increase), with industrial leasing reaching record 3.8 million sq ft (63% of overall activity, 79% growth vs H2-25, 64% YoY).

Other Chennai industrial leases: Zomato's Hyperpure leased 3.5 lakh sq ft at Hiranandani Industrial Park, Redhills, for nine years at ₹87.46 lakh monthly rent (₹25 per sq ft), commenced March 30, 2026, security deposit ₹3.5 crore, 5% annual rent increase. DHL Supply Chain leased 4.28 lakh sq ft at Indospace Industrial & Logistic Park, Vishnuvakkam, for ₹96.64 lakh monthly rent.

Sharad Malhotra appointed MD of Nippon Paint India, first Indian in the role at the company, part of NIPSEA Group, subsidiary of Nippon Paint Holdings Japan. Company operates in decorative paint, automotive refinish, automotive OEM coating, and industrial business in India. Factory at Sriperumbudur is the largest among company's seven facilities across country. MD states Indian paint industry saw headwinds in certain market parts; growth significant in past few quarters; floods impacted growth earlier; now expecting decent growth. Company is looking to expand in Sriperumbudur. Strong presence in Southern markets with hyper-competition from new entrants.

Sarovar Hotels inaugurated Sarovar Portico Sriperumbudur, a mid-scale modern business hotel on Chennai-Bangalore Highway. This is Sarovar's third-owned hotel, following Hometel Chandigarh and Hometel Roorkee. The company manages over 140 operational hotels across 85 destinations in India, Nepal and Africa under Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, Hometel and Golden Tulip brands, covering 3, 4 and 5-star segments.

Sriperumbudur has emerged as a major manufacturing hub with global companies including Foxconn, Samsung, Hyundai and Renault. Over 50 per cent of regional business is foreign traffic. Sarovar targets 200 operational hotels within 2-3 years.

The hotel features 7,245 sq. ft. of flexible indoor event space, including Summit, a 4,770 sq. ft. pillar-less banquet hall (largest in region). Amenities include purified water supply in guest rooms, energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems, solar roof, rainwater harvesting, in-house STP and bottling plant. Two dining venues: SPR Kitchen (all-day dining) and Chola Lounge (tropical-themed bar).

Louvre Hotels Group acquired majority stake in Sarovar in 2017. Group Du Louvre, headquartered in Paris, manages portfolio of 1,700 hotels across 60 countries.
