Rs 4,463-crore DND–Faridabad–Sohna highway project linking Delhi, Noida and Gurugram. The project aims to improve airport access to Jewar Airport, reduce travel time, and decrease congestion for daily commuters between these cities.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inspected the DND-Faridabad-Sohna highway project. The highway originates from DND, the junction between Delhi and Noida, and connects Faridabad and Sohna, improving connectivity to Jewar Airport.

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority has finalised a redesigned cloverleaf structure at Vatika Chowk to connect both ends of the elevated Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) at Sohna Highway. The trumpet flyover design will allow uninterrupted traffic from all directions: vehicles from Faridabad Road, Golf Course Road, Sohna Highway and Dwarka Expressway can enter and exit freely without detours or U-turns.

The revised design eliminates the need to acquire 2.15 acres of land required under the earlier plan. The 5.3 km elevated SPR stretch from Vatika Chowk to NH 48 is estimated to cost around ₹750 crore and will provide seamless connectivity from Sector 58 to Sector 115, enabling easier travel towards Delhi, Sohna and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The authority plans to construct elevated roads on two stretches: Ghata to Vatika Chowk and Vatika Chowk to NH 48 (connecting to Dwarka Expressway and Delhi-Jaipur highway). The tender for the SPR stretch from Vatika Chowk to NH 48 will be floated by January 15. The Haryana government has already approved the detailed project report.

Approximately 50,000 vehicles currently pass through this corridor daily. Traffic volumes increased following relocation of nearly 20,000 families to newly developed condominiums in sectors 69, 70, 70A, 72, 75, 76 and 77 to 80 along the road.

The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has resumed land acquisition to construct a road connecting Gurugram-Faridabad road with Sohna road. A 150-meter-wide road will be built; total 276 acres to be acquired from six villages: approximately 26 acres in Bahrampur village of Sohna, 17 acres in Ullawas, 77 acres in Kadarpur, 50 acres in Maidawas, 54 acres in Ghumaspur, and 51 acres in Badshahpur.

Land acquisition was initiated on 31 December 2013, with notices under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act. Landowners filed a petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court on 12 May 2014, and the acquisition was stayed. On March 2025, the High Court held that land acquisition can proceed under the Land Acquisition Act of 1894, with compensation paid per the Land Acquisition Policy 2013. Compensation will be paid next month before construction begins.

The roads are expected to reduce congestion in developing sectors, on the Delhi-Jaipur highway and the existing SPR road.

HSVP has also resumed acquiring land for the Greater SPR road connecting Faridabad road, Sohna road, and NH48 in Manesar. Total acquisition proposed: 6 acres in Aklimpur, 63 acres in Tikli, 68 acres in Sakatpur, 16 acres in Shikohpur, 49 acres in Naurangpur, 99 acres in Badh Gujjar, 33 acres in Manesar, and 60 acres in Nainwal.
