Faridabad’s residential market is gaining attention after gradual growth built on manufacturing and industrial activity, with employment hubs, schools, hospitals and commercial development. The upcoming Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway is expected to connect Faridabad directly with Noida, reducing reliance on Delhi for transit. Existing links include the operational KMP Expressway, Faridabad bypass road, improved access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Delhi Metro Violet Line extension to Ballabhgarh. The operational Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to strengthen regional logistics and industry and support residential and commercial development. Developers are increasingly pursuing integrated townships with social infrastructure and open spaces rather than standalone projects. Faridabad’s land is relatively affordable compared with Gurugram and Noida, and the city is increasingly viewed as a long-term residential destination.

• The detailed project report (DPR) for the 28-km metro extension from Ballabhgarh to Palwal is in its final stage and may be made public by December 2026.
• The route will have 10 stations. Its final station is proposed at the Palwal Mini Secretariat, with the line ending just before Palwal Police Lines to allow a possible future extension.
• Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) will build the extension at an estimated cost of ₹4,500 crore. Construction may start in 2027, after the DPR is finalised and funding and government approvals are considered.
• About 3.5 lakh people travel daily between Palwal, Faridabad and Delhi by road and Indian Railways. The extension is expected to ease pressure on the Delhi–Agra Highway and rail traffic, reduce dependence on private vehicles, congestion, fuel use and pollution.
• The proposal also covers route and station plans, estimated cost, ridership, land requirements and technical aspects. The extension was sought when the metro was extended from YMCA to Ballabhgarh in 2014.

The Delhi Metro Violet Line runs from the Badarpur border through Faridabad to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh). The section to Escorts Mujesar opened in late 2015; the Ballabhgarh extension opened in late 2018. The line is fully operational, with travel time described as about 30 minutes, compared with a former two-hour bus commute. Stations on this stretch are elevated; 95% of components are described as locally made, and many station roofs have solar panels. Stations also have CCTV and emergency systems, with accessibility features for elderly and differently abled passengers. Proposed improvements include more skywalks and feeder buses and e-rickshaws for last-mile access.

The Badarpur–Escorts Mujesar stretch cost about ₹2,500 crore: Haryana contributed about ₹1,557 crore, the Centre ₹537 crore, and DMRC funded the remainder through internal funds and loans. Properties near stations in Neharpar (Greater Faridabad) and other sectors reportedly gained 30%–50% in value. The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway also passes through Faridabad; malls, hospitals and office complexes are emerging along the corridor, while companies are moving back offices and warehouses to the city.
