Its a very peaceful area with no political violence till date. Full of restaurants including CCD and eat outs and Home Delivery Service. With many major markets in the area like Sandhya Bazaar near Bottola, Corporation Market and Jora Bridge Market..shopping for daily needs at most reasonable prices is a boon. All major Cake shops like Sugar n Spice , French Loaf, etc etc can be found.
Banks and ATMs of all major Banks are situated in Santoshpur. Direct Bus Service to Salt Lake, New Town, Amity University ,BBD Bagh, Howrah Railway Station, Sealdah and all major points run through Santoshpur. Many major Hospitals are in its vicinity. Bagha Jatin and Jadavpur Railway Stations are located in the two extreme ends of Santoshpur. Highland Park, South City Mall are nearby. Last and not the least there are many schools of repute on EM Byepass like Heritage etc.
