The closure bars vehicles, including two-wheelers, and pedestrians. The road had been one-way for about 20 days. Traffic disruptions may continue for up to a year, until construction in the area is complete.

Routes restricted include Prabhat Square to Bharat Talkies via Pul Bogda, and Prabhat Square to Jinsi, Dharm Kanta and Maida Mill via Pul Bogda.

Heavy and medium vehicles, including buses, and light vehicles are diverted via Parihar Square (Ashoka Garden), 80 Feet Road, Station Bajaria Tiraha, Sangam Talkies Tiraha and Bharat Talkies overbridge. Vehicles returning from Bharat Talkies or Platform No. 6 take the reverse route to Prabhat Chauraha.
