A proposed 16-km Namo Bharat corridor could cut Gurugram–Faridabad travel to about 20 minutes, with 10 stations planned in Faridabad.

A proposed 16-km Namo Bharat RRTS corridor could reduce travel between Gurugram and Faridabad from more than an hour by road to about 20 minutes. Nearly 1 km between Bata Chowk and Sector 12 would be underground, including an underground Bata Chowk station; the remaining 15 km would be elevated.

The route would start at Sainik Colony, pass through NIT-3, NIT-1, Bata Chowk, Sectors 12, 13, 14 and 15, then Sectors 80, 81/82, 85/86 and 88/89 in Greater Faridabad. It would then enter Noida, Uttar Pradesh, after its last Faridabad-district station, believed to be Badarpur. Ten stations are planned, including major stations at Bata Chowk and Sector 85/86; one station would interchange with the Delhi Metro.

Local metro services and Namo Bharat trains are proposed to share tracks. Trains could reach about 180 km/h and run every 7–10 minutes. HSVP Superintending Engineer Sandeep Dahiya said preparations were under way and construction was expected to begin soon, with no current hurdle. Cost, approval status and construction timeline have not been made public.

Faridabad's District Town Planner (DTP) Enforcement department sealed approximately 10 shops and commercial establishments in Greenfield Colony on Saturday for unauthorised commercial use in a residential zone. Other hotel, restaurant, office and property-dealing operators were warned to remove violations by Monday or face sealing.

Greenfield Colony spans about 437 acres in the Aravallis foothills near Surajkund with approximately 3,713 residential plots and more than 10,000 families. The sealing followed complaints and departmental inspection identifying hotels, restaurants, property dealer offices and other businesses operating without permission.

The DTP Enforcement department had issued notices to 76 building owners the previous week directing closure of commercial operations in the residential area within one week. Non-compliance led to the sealing action. Officials stated commercial activities contrary to rules would not be permitted in residential areas, and action would continue against other violating establishments.

A separate municipal action sealed a shop constructed in parking space in a stilt-plus-four-storey building at Fruit Garden, Railway Road, NIT-5, and found a studio on the first floor in a residential area. The municipal corporation issued notice to the building owner seeking construction and use documents, with potential demolition action if rules violations are confirmed.
