Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated Indraprastha Gas Limited’s new office at World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi, on September 30, 2025. He also opened a smart gas meter manufacturing facility set up by IGL with Genesis Gas Solutions. The plant is expected to start production in October 2025 and can make about one million smart and prepaid meters annually.

Puri said LPG connections had increased from 14 crore before 2014 to more than 33 crore, while India’s gas pipeline network grew from 14,000 km to over 22,500 km. IGL has extended PNG connections to 250 Delhi villages, serving more than 1 lakh rural households. The company operates 956 CNG stations, has connected over 30.7 lakh households to PNG, supplies 5,300 industries and 7,100 commercial establishments, sells 9.3 MMSCMD of natural gas and refuels 22 lakh CNG vehicles daily. The government announced 25 lakh new LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, taking its total to around 10.60 crore.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) moved its headquarters to the 4th through 7th floors of F Tower at the World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi, on 26 November 2024. It previously operated from Mahanagar Doorsanchar Bhawan, near Zakir Hussain College on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Old Minto Road), New Delhi.

NBCC India Ltd is set to relay internal and approach roads at the Netaji Nagar General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) colony, where residential tower structural work is largely complete. The ₹67.62-crore Delhi project by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs includes roads, stormwater drains, utility ducts, concrete cable trenches, solar and conventional street lighting, horticulture and bus shelters. Signage will follow Indian Roads Congress standards.

Construction vehicles, barricades and diversions may temporarily affect traffic on Kidwai Nagar–Ring Road, Dhaula Kuan–Moti Bagh, internal routes to Nauroji Nagar and RK Puram, and vehicles travelling to Bhikaji Cama Place. NBCC will coordinate with Delhi Traffic Police to schedule material movement outside peak hours and place advance signage.

The wider redevelopment includes a school and clubhouse. The tender sets a 12-month construction period followed by two years of operation and maintenance, covering road and pathway sweeping, drain cleaning, horticulture, bus shelters and lighting. Artwork worth 1% of project cost is required under Delhi Urban Art Commission guidelines. Netaji Nagar is one of seven GPRA sites, alongside Sarojini Nagar, Nauroji Nagar, Kasturba Nagar, Mohammadpur, Srinivaspuri and Thyagraj Nagar.
