Pink Line: Extended to 71.56 kilometres, completing India's first fully operational "ring metro" around Delhi. Stations on this stretch: Burari, Jharoda Majra, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Soorghat, Nanaksar-Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Maujpur-Babarpur. Features a new bridge over the Yamuna and double-decker viaduct carrying metro track and road flyover. Strengthens connectivity between north-east and north-west Delhi.

Magenta Line: Extended to approximately 49 kilometres. Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park stretch includes seven elevated stations: Madhuban Chowk, Uttar Pitampura-Prashant Vihar, Haiderpur Village, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalswa.

Foundation stones laid for three Phase 5(A) corridors: Central Vista corridor (9.913km underground, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg to Indraprastha), Golden Line extension to IGI Airport Terminal-1 (2.263km underground), Golden Line extension Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj (3.9km elevated). Expected to strengthen links to NCR cities: Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh.

Foundation stones also laid for GPRA colonies redevelopment worth ₹15,200 crore. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta stated metro expansion improves public transport; 2025-26 budget prioritises public transport.

Delhi Metro trial runs are continuing on the nearly complete 4.6-kilometre Majlis Park–Jagatpur Village stretch, which includes three stations.

More than 70% of civil work has been completed across Delhi Metro’s three priority Phase IV corridors. The nearly complete 4.6-kilometre stretch between Majlis Park and Jagatpur Village began initial trial runs in late December 2024. It includes Burari, Jharoda Majra and Jagatpur Village stations, which will open after statutory approvals and certifications.

The first Phase IV stretch, Janakpuri West–Krishna Park Extension, opened to passengers on January 5, 2025. The foundation stone for the Rithala–Kundli corridor was also laid that day. DMRC is building about 112 kilometres of new Metro lines across Delhi and recorded three tunnel breakthroughs on the Aerocity–Tughlakabad corridor in the previous two months.

DMRC cited the COVID-19 pandemic and delays in obtaining tree-cutting permissions as causes of project delays. Substantial work has continued for the past 1.5 to two years, with completion targeted by 2026.
