Loni Nagar Palika plans to map around 300,000 buildings, shops and vacant plots across all 55 wards using drones, GPS and GIS, assigning each a Unique Identification Number. The survey is expected to begin in October or November 2026 and finish within a year. The tender process has started; the selected firm will maintain the software in the second year.

The municipality currently collects property tax from around 143,000 buildings, generating approximately ₹18 crore annually. The survey aims to add untaxed properties to its assessment system. A three-dimensional database with GPS-linked locations is expected to assist emergency services and identify land categories, encroachments and unauthorised construction. Data will be shared with the Ghaziabad Development Authority to help identify unauthorised colonies and construction on agricultural land. The survey will also flag neighbourhoods lacking water supply, sewerage or paved roads for priority infrastructure work.

• Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad (UPAVP) may launch its Mandola Vihar scheme near Loni around Diwali 2026. The scheme covers about 2,700 acres and is near the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway; it connects to the Delhi-Saharanpur Highway.

• The government has granted in-principle approval to widen two roads in Muradnagar and Loni; the Public Works Department will begin tendering this month. The combined cost is about ₹36 crore, with work targeted for completion by Diwali.
• The 9.5-km Duhai–Patla road in Muradnagar is currently 3.75 metres wide and is in poor condition. More than 10 villages lie along it; widening is expected to improve rural connectivity and ease congestion for over 50,000 people.
• The 8-km road from Banthla–Dikoli Road to Behta Hajipur in Loni will be widened to 5.5 metres at a cost of about ₹17 crore. It is expected to improve travel from Loni to Baghpat and benefit over 50,000 people in 15 villages, including Bada Gaon, Nangla and Rataul.

The proposed Pink Line extension would run from Shiv Vihar through Loni to Mandola Vihar, with an estimated 8–12 km between Shiv Vihar and Mandola Vihar.
