Former Keesara sub-registrar Mohammad Yousuf-ur-Rahman was arrested by Keesara police for allegedly facilitating registration of fake and tampered property documents used in real estate transactions and housing-loan frauds. The arrest came nearly five months after six people were arrested in the case. The fraud surfaced after retired Nizampet employee Doppalapudi Ravindra complained that fake sale deeds had been executed for his 300-square-yard plot in Rampally village. Police allege Yousuf-ur-Rahman colluded with conspirators, fake sellers, impersonators, loan borrowers, document writers, GPA holders and real estate brokers. Forged documents were registered and used as title or security to obtain loans from banks and housing finance companies. Investigators identified 11 transactions involving about ₹4.11 crore.

Keesara Police arrested multiple suspects in a land-grabbing racket after complaints filed on March 16 and 17 alleged illegal property transfers using fabricated documents. The records included fake death certificates, forged family records and fraudulent gift settlement deeds.
The accused include Assistant Sub-Inspector Kanakati Lingaiah Goud, Praveen Reddy, Modem Sampath, Kamble Deepa, Uppala Venu, Donapati Venkat Reddy, Gundiga Jyothi and Maadanu Innaiah, among others. Police registered cases under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and seized mobile phones, forged sale deeds and gift deeds.
Police said the suspects targeted vulnerable or vacant plots, impersonated legal heirs or owners, and fabricated ownership records to carry out fraudulent registrations. Those arrested were remanded to judicial custody; efforts to trace absconding suspects are ongoing.
