Uttar Pradesh extended Rakesh Kumar Singh’s tenure as CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL) for another year. His re-employment runs from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, or until further orders; the order followed the end of his previous term on September 30.

The 2009-batch IAS officer retired in September 2025 and began his first re-employment term in October 2025. He took charge of YEIDA and NIAL in July 2025, replacing Arun Vir Singh. It is his second consecutive term after superannuation. He previously served as secretary to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and as YEIDA additional CEO in 2015-16.

YEIDA is focusing on bringing allotted industrial units into production, developing industrial clusters, and accelerating airport-area infrastructure. It is also pursuing a multimodal logistics park and new urban centres around Yamuna City. No project changes or revised schedules were announced.
