Chik Ballapur has lots of Educational Institution around, SJCIT, Kempegowda Law college, BGS Group of Management Studies to name a few, also a frontal approach to ITIR, initially acquired 12,000 now 26,500 acres.
Wise in terms of investment or relocation as the new Bangalore is going to be developed in and around this place.

Sir M Visvesvaraya Deep Tech Park Phase 1 is a proposed industrial and technology hub in Jangamakote area of Chikkaballapur district, occupying almost 3,000 acres (land acquisition of 2,823 acres across 13 villages: Basavapatna, Tadoor, Tatlaganahalli, Nadipanayakanahalli, Yannanguru, Chokkahandahalli, Hosahalli, Edurutippenahalli, Devaganahalli, Gollahalli, Arikeri, Kolme Hosur and Sanjeevapura in Jangamakote hobli of Shidlaghatta taluk). Project by Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB).

Phase 1: 1,033–1,110 acres with 540 acres for industrial use, 19 acres commercial, 70 acres residential, remainder for roads and utilities. Located 50 km from Bengaluru, near Devanahalli-Kempegowda International Airport.

Land compensation: ₹1.55 crore per acre for land within 100 metres of Jangamakote-Shidlaghatta main road; ₹1.45 crore per acre for interior land; Kolimi Hosuru ₹1.25 crore per acre plus ₹5 lakh conversion allowance.
