Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) fast-tracked two underpasses after consulting traffic stakeholders and Jaipur Metro officials, aiming to ease pressure from upcoming road and metro projects.

• Work on the second, at Gopalpura crossing on Tonk Road, is expected to start in the first quarter of 2027.

Despite the Supreme Court’s latest direction for encroachment-free, clearly marked footpaths nationwide, Jaipur pavements remain obstructed by stalls, cafes, parked vehicles and temporary structures.
