Noida authority decided to build a diamond-shaped interchange at Bhangel Elevated Road for seamless connectivity with Vishwakarma Road.

Noida authority approved ₹25 crore fund to install sound barriers on the Bhangel elevated road to mitigate noise pollution. The move follows complaints from residents in old residential areas of increased noise since the road opened in January 2026. Sound barriers will be six feet high per Indian Road Congress norms, installed on the 4.5-km stretch. Around 50 houses located close to the elevated road are affected. The authority has already installed view cutter panels on a 90-metre stretch. The Bhangel elevated road begins from residential areas including Sector 49 and Agahpur, passes through Barola and Bhangel, and ends at Sector 82. IIT Delhi vetted the project. The authority is likely to issue a tender within two months to finalize the agency for installation.

The slip road on the DSC providing access to Bhangel market from the NSEZ side without using the Bhangel elevated road will reopen within a week. The stretch was closed to decongest traffic but forced commuters to take a 4-5 km detour to access the market area. Bhangel-Salarpur market is one of the largest rural markets in Noida, serving as a vital commerce hub attracting thousands of daily visitors and commuters from nearby sectors and villages. Noida MLA Pankaj Singh directed officials to open the slip road following a meeting with Noida Village Residents Association (NOVRA) delegation.

An elevated road project at Bhangel reduces commute time from Noida Sector 37 to Greater Noida from hours to approximately 5 minutes. The route via Bhangel and Surajpur previously experienced persistent traffic congestion.

The delayed completion of the Bhangel elevated road in Noida has frustrated local residents and traders. They are suffering due to broken roads, waterlogging, and encroachment, leading to financial difficulties.
