HYDRAA reclaimed 2.3 acres of govt land earmarked for a public park at Bachupally in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, and freed another 30 guntas allotted for an MRO office from encroachments. The land was allotted in 2016 by the then district collector for park development. An urban nursery was established with hundreds of saplings planted. Infrastructure created included a borewell, water sump, watchman's room, iron gates, and fencing. In 2023, private individuals allegedly vandalized the park, uprooted plants, dismantled the nursery and claimed ownership. A compound wall was constructed overnight. Following complaints through Prajavani and media reports, HYDRAA conducted field inspection with officials and confirmed it was govt property designated as a park. Encroachments were removed on 21 January 2026, the land was fenced, and HYDRAA boards installed declaring it as govt land.
