• Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep Durishetty directed officials to expedite construction of a 30-bed building at the Amberpet Urban Community Health Centre (UCHC) in Amberpet, Hyderabad.
• The facility is estimated to cost ₹5 crore and is intended to enhance healthcare services in the area.
• During a surprise inspection, the Collector checked services at the hospital, interacted with pregnant women seeking care, and reviewed the dialysis centre and hospital registers.
• Officials were told to start construction without delay.
• The Forest Range Officer was asked to relocate trees within the hospital premises to make way for the project.
• Strict action was ordered against people littering the hospital grounds; penalties are to be imposed on nearby building owners who dump garbage on the premises, and criminal cases may be registered if violations continue.
• Officials were also told to ensure the oxygen plant remains functional and to submit proposals for additional equipment requirements.

• The new Amberpet flyover in Hyderabad was opened for motorists on Maha Shivaratri, Wednesday.
• Officials said Rs.338 crore was spent on constructing the flyover.
• Traffic was allowed after Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy inspected it from Golnaka church to Vani Photo Studio in Amberpet on Tuesday.
• He asked officials to permit traffic so beautification and other road development works could begin beneath the flyover.
• The flyover is expected to reduce traffic chaos that had affected the locality for years.
• Kishan Reddy said the project was delayed because of the state government’s delay in acquiring land.
• The road from Chaderghat to Warangal Amberpet had earlier been widened during the tenure of late N.T. Rama Rao as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh.
• Widening that road became difficult because graveyards were on both sides at Amberpet sixth lane.
• As former MLA of Amberpet Assembly constituency, Kishan Reddy had urged the Central government to build a flyover because of the graveyard issue.
• The official inauguration will be held after completion of beautification and other road development works.

Residents of Pragathi Nagar flagged flaws in construction of stormwater drains along the six-lane Miyapur–Gandi Maisamma road. Two 1,200-mm stormwater drains being laid on either side of the road are being connected to existing 200-mm pipelines in Pragathi Nagar. The disparity in capacity could lead to severe flooding during heavy rains. Residents urged authorities to redesign the drainage system and ensure better coordination among departments so stormwater drains discharge into lakes and main channels without bottlenecks. Concerns were raised at HYDRAA Prajavani on Monday. Commissioner A.V. Ranganath reviewed the petitions and directed officials to take necessary action. Residents stressed the need to keep stormwater drains separate from sewage lines and channel rainwater directly into lakes to prevent inundation in residential colonies. Other complaints included: Telephone Colony in Boduppal reported attempts to encroach upon a 1,166-square-yard park; Secretariat Colony in Neknampur sought layout boundary demarcation and protection of a 500-square-yard abandoned water tank site; Pothaipally village sought protection of 5.18-acre Majid Kunta lake from blockages and encroachments; Marripalli village complained of encroachments within 35.05-acre Full Tank Level area of a lake; Dwarakanagar reported industrial chemical effluents entering Boduppal Kunta; Nava Yamuna Nagar Colony in Shaikpet complained of road encroachments; Indira Nagar Colony in Alwal reported illegal walls blocking drainage and hampering ambulance movement. HYDRAA Prajavani received 47 complaints relating to flood risks, encroachments and pollution of water bodies.

The Moosarambagh Causeway Bridge connecting Amberpet and Malakpet-Dilsukhnagar is being demolished after nearly 40 years of service. The old bridge had repeatedly submerged during Musi River floods, disrupting traffic. Engineering experts found the bridge's joints had eroded and structure weakened, making it unsafe for vehicles.

The new high-level bridge, construction begun in 2024, is a six-lane structure with wide footpaths and 400-metre approach roads, spanning 220 metres and rising 10 metres above water level. Estimated cost: ₹52 crore. Expected completion: March 2026.

The new bridge is designed to withstand future floods and end traffic disruption across the Musi. GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan instructed officials to expedite construction. Motorists advised to use Golnaka Bridge and alternative routes during demolition and construction.

A decades-old causeway on River Musi at Moosarambagh Bridge was demolished after heavy rains damaged the structure. Traffic has been restricted and diverted to alternative routes, forcing commuters to take detours of 4–5 km. The causeway previously connected Amberpet, Dilsukhnagar, Malakpet and adjoining areas.

GHMC is constructing a new high-level bridge at the site, spending Rs 52 crore. The proposed bridge will have six lanes and 3.5 metre sidewalks on each side. Work is progressing slowly with delays reported.

GHMC officials cited safety concerns about the causeway's structural stability as the reason for demolition, stating the decision was made "from the safety point of commuters and to prevent high risk to human lives."
