My wife and myself happened to be in Coimbatore last year.During the course of a conversation
a close friend of ours mentioned about Swasthya a senior citizen living community near Pollachi.
I telephoned their office and Mr Chandran very promptly arranged to transport us to Swasthya and
made us stay in their guest house.
We stayed there for 3 days and the experience was awesome.There are about 90 units both double
and single bedroom and more than 55 residents are living there.The units are well spaced with properly
laid out roads.Well illuminated in the night with solar panel street lights.Enough space for car parking
in each unit.We interacted with some residents and they are a happy cluster enjoying the twilight years
in their life.
The whole setup is eco friendly full of greenery,lot of flowers,coconut trees and well groomed lawns.Water
is plenty and air is pure and unpolluted.We have seen peacocks wandering in the campus in the evenings.
The food was amazing.Tasty,nutritious and well suited for people of our age.Above all all the staff are kind
hearted,obedient and highly helpful.
This place is within 2kms from Pollachi main road and the airport is only 25kms.
We are from Bombay.I am a nuclear engineering doctorate and spent most of our life in big citities in India
as well as abroad..Experience in Swasthya was a great delight and refreshing.
If you are a senior citizen Swasthya is definitely an option to explore.
