UP-Rera imposed penalties of Rs 5 lakh each on two Noida builders for failing to register their projects with the real estate regulator. The projects, Estate 105 and Sobha Rivana, were being promoted through websites without registration. A Lucknow-based project, Avikalp Estate, was similarly fined for selling units without registration. Notices were issued to developers; their replies were found unsatisfactory. Violations were found under Section 3 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, which makes registration of any real estate project with UP Rera mandatory.
