Thane Minister Orders Action on 11 Delayed SRA Projects

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik reviewed 11 stalled slum redevelopment projects in Thane's Ovla-Majiwada constituency and ordered removal of non-performing developers.

Projects reviewed include Gandhinagar, Hardas Nagar, Chiragnagar, Laxmi-Chiragnagar, Majiwada, Shastrinagar, and Subhashnagar. Sarnaik instructed authorities to identify developers unwilling or unable to complete projects and remove them, transferring responsibility to capable, financially equipped developers. He criticized handling of Subhashnagar and Gandhinagar projects involving former Shiv Sena corporator Sanjay Pandey, stating redevelopment projects should not be approved to serve developer financial interests.
