Construction has begun on a long-delayed 350-metre road link between Gurgaon’s sectors 88 and 89, connecting NH-8 directly to Pataudi Road.

Construction has started on the missing 350-metre stretch of the master road dividing sectors 88 and 89, creating a direct link between the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway (NH-8) and Pataudi Road. The road had remained incomplete for over a decade because of land acquisition issues involving a private manufacturing unit. The unit challenged the acquisition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court; the dispute remained unresolved until last year. In 2025, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) handed the required land to GMDA. The project was awarded at an estimated cost of ₹2 crore, with an official deadline in September and efforts underway to finish within six months. A minor realignment was made because of land constraints. HSVP agreed to realign a sewer line, tree removal is complete, and construction has begun. Officials said a revised traffic design is needed to determine integration with internal roads in sectors 88A and 89A.
