Ajit Pawar Lays Foundation For 115-Crore Skill Development Centre In Roha

Maharashtra Deputy CM lays foundation for a 115-crore Skill Development Centre in Roha, Raigad, to open by May 2026, training 3,000 students annually.

Key facts

State-of-the-art Skill Development Centre being established in Roha as collaborative initiative of Maharashtra Government, Tata Technologies, MIDC, and Roha Municipal Council. Third of its kind in Maharashtra and first in Raigad district. Foundation stone laid by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday. Completion targeted for May 2026.

Infrastructure and Operations:

  • Developed on 1,700 sq. m plot provided by Roha Municipal Council
  • 12,500 sq. ft. building with industry-grade machinery, tools, hardware, and software
  • Infrastructure and equipment to be transferred to government; Tata Technologies to manage operations

Training and Scope:

  • Will train over 3,000 students annually
  • Modern technical domains including Artificial Intelligence and industrial technology
  • Will cater to students and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in region
