Ranchi’s ₹291 Crore Ratu Road Flyover to Open July 3

Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate Ranchi’s 4.18-km four-lane Ratu Road flyover on July 3, easing traffic and reducing noise for commuters.
Key facts
The 4.18-km, four-lane flyover, built by the National Highways Authority of India at a cost of ₹291 crore, is scheduled to be inaugurated on July 3 by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth announced the date on X.
The flyover starts at Naga Baba Khatal and descends at Itki Road, which leads to Gumla and Daltonganj, and near OTC Ground. It includes ₹8 crore of noise barriers and view cutters designed to absorb up to 95% of traffic noise. A 170-metre section crossing Raj Bhavan will have a bulletproof canopy for VIP security. Lighting, signage and cleaning work was under way before the opening.
