As many as 22,122 houses and apartments in colonies under Greater Hyderabad limits are listed under Section 22A prohibited land, restricting property owners from selling, gifting or mortgaging properties. Revenue department data classified properties as 22-A land, government land, ULC land and POB land across Sangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts. Official sources claim many colonies have remained restricted for several decades.

Sangareddy district (2,117 houses in Patancheru):

• HYDRAA and the revenue department carried out demolition drives across Hyderabad on Friday.
• At Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, officials protected 5 acres of government land worth over ₹750 crore.
• Of this, 1.2 acres had earlier been allotted to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).
• Officials said a private individual, Parthasaradhi, fraudulently claimed the entire parcel using a fabricated survey number.
• The original survey number was 403; the fake number used was 403/52.
• The claim was based on an unregistered sale deed.
• Temporary sheds were demolished, fencing was removed, and signboards were installed marking the land as government property.
• The agency also said it reclaimed 3.5 acres of encroached parkland and roadways at Gajularamaram in Quthbullapur, within a 13-acre layout developed in 2005 for AG office employees.
• The recovered land there has been fenced.
• At Sri Laxmi Ganapathi Colony in Tattiannaram, Abdullapurmet mandal, 270 sq. yds out of a 680 sq. yd park site had been encroached upon; HYDRAA cleared all illegal structures after confirming the entire site was parkland.

Telangana Housing Board conducted an auction of plots in Chintal area of Quthbullapur. The auction generated Rs 44.24 crore in sales. Plot prices reached Rs 1,14,000 per square yard, marking record-breaking sales for the Housing Board.
