Infosys announced plans to expand its Pocharam campus on Hyderabad's outskirts following an agreement with the Telangana government. The expansion will add 17,000 jobs. New IT towers will be constructed with Rs 750 crores under the first phase, with construction completed in two to three years. Currently, 35,000 people are employed with Infosys in Hyderabad. The announcement was made after Jayesh Sanghrajka, Group CFO of Infosys Limited, met with Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu at the World Economic Forum annual conference 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.

Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) has proposed four parks under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (Bhavya): an IT park at Madaram village in Ghatkesar; a semiconductor park at Thimmapur in Kandukur mandal; a hardware park at Eliminedu in Ibrahimpatnam; and an engineering machinery park at Dandu Malkapur in Choutuppal mandal.

Madaram is in eastern Hyderabad, where IT campuses already operate at Pocharam near Ghatkesar. The state aims to decentralise IT parks across the Greater Hyderabad region. Madaram and Thimmapur are close to the Outer Ring Road, while Eliminedu is part of Bharat Future City.

Following complaints from residents, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath visited Turkayamjal lake. Locals reported overflow due to sluice gate closure, leading to crop damage and house submersion. They also raised concerns about sewage entering the lake and inadequate drainage. HYDRAA will conduct impartial investigation into shrinking or disappearance of water bodies within the city. Comprehensive study will be conducted with engineering experts from IIT, BITS Pilani and JNTU, involving irrigation engineers and revenue officials. Full tank level of the lake will be determined through scientific analysis using National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) images and revenue maps of surrounding villages. Commissioner also visited Rayan and Jilavarkhan lakes based on citizen complaints. Commissioner addressed local concerns about access blocking in Divyanagar layout in Pocharam municipality and encroachment of a park in West Kamalanagar Colony, Medipalli mandal, promising investigation and action against unauthorised construction.
