On the VIP Road–Kamla Park Polytechnic approach, Bhadbhada–Smart Road link works and a new signal at the Polytechnic rotary have disrupted traffic. The Bhanpur route is narrowed by a new-road project. Construction on Ayodhya Bypass, road widening and Orange Line metro works at Karond junction have reduced capacity. Planners warn that mixing signals and rotaries without coherent design harms traffic flow and safety; Bhopal Haat remains an accident hotspot. Delays risk missed flights, higher taxi and shuttle costs, and slower emergency response.

Separately, metro barricades and diversions closed an NH-84 stretch on Raisen Road, causing jams from ITI intersection to Piplani petrol pump; barricades between Govindpura Industrial Area gate and JK Road narrowed lanes. Traffic police ordered their removal and a notice to metro management. Raisen Road carries 14,500–22,100 PCU, rising to 15,000–25,000 at peak times.

Road widening for a 10-lane project ruptured a gas pipeline near a private hospital on Ayodhya Bypass. Work was suspended as the area was secured and repairs began; residents said sewage infrastructure had also been damaged earlier.
